Lazio vs Milan – which team will reach the Coppa Italia final?
In the Coppa Italia one team from Juventus, Milan, Lazio and Atalanta will win the trophy. After the first-legs of the semi-finals the games are both close and it is hard to predict which two teams will play in the final which takes place in May. Lazio and Milan are currently goalless and they play on Wednesday with the chance to score an away goal meaning that AC Milan have a strong chance of a good result in Rome. Juventus are strong favourites to advance after beating Atalanta 1-0.
Milan have had a difficult season so far and as they are in seventh place they will find it hard to qualify for the Champions League by finishing in at least fourth place. They are playing Arsenal in the last-16 of the Europa League and if they do not win that – it is a tough game – then they are highly unlikely not to qualify for the Champions League at all for next season.
Gennaro Gattuso is a club legend and the Italian has been named Milan’s manager. Their recent form under him has been very good and last weekend they beat Roma away from home to record their fifth win in a row. It would be a success if they can win the Coppa Italia, though tough games await and they would probably have to beat the holders Juventus in May’s final.
Lazio are a strong team, though, and if they win their home game in 90 minutes then they will be going through to the cup final. Their most dangerous player is Ciro Immobile, who has scored 32 goals. The Roman team have won their past three games so this is two sides in great form.
Visit Tipbet.com for some great Coppa Italia betting markets. There are also season bets, and Juventus are 1.40 to win the competition again. For the Lazio – Milan tie, Tipbet have Milan to reach the final, while the home team in Rome are 1.90 to win the game after 90 minutes. The odds show that a penalty shootout is 6.50 and therefore quite unlikely.
