Manchester City vs Chelsea – can anyone stop Manchester City in the Premier League?
Manchester City have beaten Arsenal 3-0 on two occasions in the last week – once in the Premier League and the other in the Carabao Cup final – and they face Chelsea this weekend in what should be an interesting game. City are 16 points ahead of Manchester United in the Premier League and there are 10 games to go.
City have been in fantastic form all season, and they should get a real test this weekend when they play Chelsea, who are the current champions of England. City have only been beaten by Liverpool in the league so if Chelsea can somehow manage to do the same then it would be a surprise. City are also trying to win the Champions League, though they were knocked out of the FA Cup by Wigan in the last-16.
Manchester City are now just 15 points from being guaranteed the trophy, so they are very close to winning their third Premier League trophy and the first under Pep Guardiola.
Chelsea were beaten by Manchester United last weekend so the yare now in fifth place. They, of course, need to finish at least fourth if they are to qualify for the Champions League, so it is important that they get at least a point when they travel to the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte will have to make decisions about which players will start after they had a poor second-half against United last weekend. One key decision is whether to play Alvaro Morata as the Spanish striker has struggled to perform well recently.
