Napoli vs Genoa – will Napoli get closer to Juventus in Italy?
Napoli are second in Serie A, Italy’s top division and they are facing a real test if they want to win the league. They have not done so since 1990 but they have had a fantastic season so far. Juventus were chasing Napoli all season but now the Turin team have overtaken them and are four points ahead. Napoli lost their second game of the season recently against Roma and they were also held to a draw by Inter Milan.
Juventus have the best team in Italy, as they have shown in winning the last six Scudettos, so it is hard to see the club not winning the league. They are also trying to win the Champions League – the will play Real Madrid in the last-eight; the team they lost to in last season’s final – and this is unlike Napoli who have no distractions after losing in the Europa League. The top bookmakers Tipbet have many odds on which team will win the Italian league – view them here.
Napoli were on a 10 game streak of victories before they were beaten so they have the quality to go on another run until they end of the season. They also play the champions in April in what could be a title deciding game.
This weekend Napoli are playing Genoa and their opponents are currently in 13th place. Last year they finished 16th and were fairly close to relegation, so this is an improvement and they are clearly trying to get into the top 10. Genoa were on a three match streak until they were beaten by Milan in what was a 13th loss of the season.
When they play in Naples they will know it is a tricky match and it is crucial that they do not lose a third game in a row if they want to be in strong form in the final months of the season. Tipbet rate them as unlikely to get a win away from home and the odds are 13.7.
Napoli are available at 1.25 to win an important game and they have the third best attack in Serie A. There are plenty more markets to view and bet on.
