When Manchester United lost to Manchester City last weekend it felt as if the Blue half of Manchester was much closer to claiming their first Premier League title since Pep Guardiola took charge of the club. They are still unbeaten, and they also have an 11-point lead in England’s top division. They also beat Swansea 4-0 in the week, while United were poor against Bournemouth and only just won.

If the 11 point gap gets any bigger then United will probably not be able to realistically close the gap and win the title for the first time since 2013. They will be looking for Man city to finally lose a game, and the league leaders are up against Tottenham Hotspur in what is a tricky game. United are playing against struggling West Bromwich Albion, so will hope that the gap can be closed slightly.

The main problem with Manchester United this season has been away from Old Trafford – they have won away four times but eight at home. However, their last two away games – against Arsenal and Watford and Arsenal have both been victoruies. United also have the joint-best defensive record and have scored 37 times. Romelu Lukaku is his team’s top scorer and he is 1.95 to add to his total at the weekend.

Alan Pardew is the new manager of West Bromwich Albion as they worry about relegation, and he managed to get a draw against Liverpool in their last game. The 0-0 performance showed that they are strong enough in defence to stop any team in the English Premier League. They are currently in 17th place with 14 points and relegation is still a real possibility.
